Product Description : SOAL BAHASA INGGRIS SMP KELAS XI BAGIAN 1

In all the discussion over the removal of leaded vehicles from petrol (and the atmosphere) there doesn’t seem to have been any mention of the difference between driving in the city and the country.
While I realize my leaded petrol car is polluting the air wherever I drive, I feel that when you travel through the country, where you only see another car every five to ten minutes, the problem is not as severe as when traffic is concentrated on city roads.
Those who want to penalize older, leaded petrol vehicles and their owners don’t seem to appreciate that in the country there is no public transport to fall back upon and one’s own vehicle is the only way to get about.
I feel that country people, who often have to travel huge distances to the nearest town and who already spend a great deal of money on petrol, should be treated differently to the people who live in the city.

    Text 2
We should Change our Payment System
Nowadays, the system of payment gradually changes. Most people use credit card instead of cash to make payment. They think it is more effective, efficient, easier, and simpler. However, there are still arguments about the use of debit cards as a method of payment.
Well, if you use the card, you will say that the card is so practical. You don’t need to count meticulously how much you should pay. When paying using cash people are afraid of making mistakes in counting the bank note for both the payment and the change. With debit cards, the mistake is made smaller.
Moreover, you should know that the debit cards are saver than money. Suppose you bring a lot of money when travelling. If it was lost or stolen. You would be left with nothing in your hands. However, I you brought a debit card, you could just phone the bank which issues the card to block it.
On the other hand, people who disagree on the use of debit card, will say that its use is so limited. When you buy something in a traditional market, or a vendor, for example, can you pay using a credit card? Of course not. Another thing is that, if you want to use the card, you should make a purchase at minimum amount. If you make less than the minimum transaction, you cannot make use of the card.
For those reasons we think that credit cards are not fully effective as means of payment. We should trace the incoming and ongoing money in our accounts. Besides, we have to control our habit of ‘paying first, paying later’ habit. Otherwise, without being realized we are charged a lot. You don’t have to use credit cards if it is not necessary.

  6. Why do most people change their payment system from cash to credit card?
    a.    Because they already had enough with cash
    b.    Because they do not need cash on their pocket
    c.    Because they do not have any money anymore
    d.    Because they feel it is not necessary to bring some cash
    e.    Because they think credit card is more effective, efficient, easier, and simpler
